Lexus announces pricing on the highly anticipated LBX

Jan 11, 2024

Lexus New Zealand is experiencing a surge in success, achieving record sales in the 11 months leading up to November's end. Excitingly, the luxury brand is on the brink of introducing a novel addition to its lineup – the Lexus LBX.

Scheduled to hit the New Zealand market in early 2024, the LBX positions itself as the most accessible new Lexus, priced at $58,900 plus on-road costs for the Active front-wheel-drive variant.

Centered around cutting-edge Lexus hybrid technology, the LBX caters to the urban driver seeking a fusion of casual chic style and the sophisticated Lexus driving experience.

According to Andrew Davis, Vice President of Lexus New Zealand, the LBX extends the complete Lexus experience to a demographic that may not have previously considered the brand.

“The LBX is designed for a new generation of drivers. All the key elements of Lexus are encapsulated within the subcompact LBX – a brave and unique design, high quality materials and construction, plus a carefully thought through driving experience,” he says.

Slotting in under the popular UX crossover, the LBX is the first Lexus model to be offered in three ‘moods’ to match different lifestyles. Rather than traditional Lexus ‘grades’ the moods reflect different lifestyles. Active stands out with 18” dark grey metallic and machined alloy wheels, a two-tone exterior, black synthetic leather seats, and comprehensive Lexus Safety System+ package included as standard.

The pricing includes Lexus’ four-year unlimited kilometre new vehicle warranty, four-year unlimited kilometre full maintenance service plan, eight-year or 160,000-kilometre high voltage battery warranty, and the four-year Lexus Plus AA Roadside Assistance package.

The LBX is expected to be very popular and customers are advised to pre-order with Lexus dealerships to secure a priority order. Initial deliveries are planned to start from March 2024.
