Kiwis racing under the lights this weekend

It’s a week for racing after dark with the NASCAR Bristol Night Race and Carrera Cup Asia heading to the Singapore street circuit.
Shane van Gisbergen will get his first taste of the infamous Bristol Night Race this week as the series heads to the half-mile oval that creates chaos and drama year-on-year. As we’ve seen with NASCAR, chaos often creates opportunity, and a good result should be on the table if SVG can keep his nose clean.
Marco Giltrap will be racing under the lights in Singapore for the first time as Carrera Cup Asia supports the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. The 20-year-old has only been running a part-time program in Asia so isn’t in contention for the title, but Giltrap will be relishing the opportunity to race on one of the world’s toughest street circuits.
Meanwhile, back in the States, Hunter McElrea and Bredon Leitch will be taking on the 'Battle on the Bricks' as IMSA heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This is McElrea’s first race back after his surprise INDYCAR debut in Toronto earlier this year.
